This Community report summarizes the activity of the Polkadot Assurance Legion (PAL) during the period April-June 2026. The quarter is still in progress; figures reflect activity through mid-June 2026 and may be updated in the final version of this report.
PAL
The Polkadot Assurance Legion (PAL) was a community-driven initiative that aimed to make Polkadot a safer and more attractive place for both builders and users by allocating funds from the Polkadot Treasury (bounty #22) to advance security in Rust / Polkadot SDK.
Over its lifetime, PAL funded audits (Rust and Solidity), security tooling, bug bounties, and common-good security initiatives. PAL has now concluded — no further funding requests are being processed; existing engagements continue per their agreements. Find out more on PAL's homepage.
Summary
In the period of April through June 2026, PAL focused its activity on the Ocelloids ecosystem monitoring tool, with no new audits or bug bounty payouts processed during the quarter.
The headline of Q2 was the delivery of Milestone 3 of RFP 2501 - the ecosystem monitoring tool by Ocelloids, which expanded the platform's DeFi monitoring capabilities to Hydration, Moonbeam and Bifrost, introduced alerting templates for money market health and DEX liquidity pool TVL, and shipped TVL, volume, money market, and liquid staking analytics in the Console UI. Milestone 4 was also paid during the quarter; its delivery report is still pending and will be added to this report once available. In the same payout, PAL also covered 12 months of infrastructure, operations, and maintenance for the platform, as foreseen in the RFP.
